πŸŽ‰ NEW: SELC STUDENT RECOGNITION PROGRAM πŸŽ‰Β

At SELC College, we believe hard work deserves to be seen, recognized, and celebrated.Β

How are students recognized?Β

Students may be nominated for:Β

  • Academic ExcellenceΒ

  • Attendance Excellence – minimum 98% attendanceΒ

  • Student AmbassadorΒ

  • Outstanding Co-op StudentΒ

  • Community VolunteerΒ

  • LeadershipΒ

  • Campus SpiritΒ

And remember:Β Academic Excellence is not only about having the highest grades.Β

Exceptional improvement counts too.Β

A student who works hard, stays committed, and improves significantly over time may be just as deserving of recognition.Β

Consistency MattersΒ

Each award will be based on the student's performance, effort, improvement, attendance, leadership, professionalism, and contribution over the previous two full calendar months.Β

For our first awards on September 18, we will recognize achievements demonstrated during July and August 2026.Β

Students do not nominate themselves. Nominations are submitted by SELC instructors and campus staff based on what they observe in the classroom, on campus, during activities, and in co-op.Β

So keep showing up.Β

Keep improving.Β

Keep helping others.Β

Keep participating.Β

Keep leading.Β

Keep giving your best.Β

We see your effort.Β
We see your progress.Β
We see your consistency.Β
Your hard work is seen.Β

Good luck to all our SELC students! 🌟

🌟 MY CHALLENGE TO YOU THIS WEEK

There is a lot happening, but you don't have to do everything.

Choose ONE opportunity and participate.

Attend the Immigration Workshop. Meet one of our partners. Join the Walking Tour. Come to the party. Introduce yourself to someone new.

If your routine has become school β†’ work β†’ home β†’ repeat, challenge yourself to break that routine once this week.

Sometimes one conversation, one workshop, one new friendship or one new experience can open a door you never expected.

At SELC, we care about your educationβ€”but we also care about you, your well-being, your connections and your experience in Canada. That is what Beyond the Classroom is all about. πŸ’›
